The vision is to bring about an overall higher level of awareness to the whole and you reading this are a part of that whole. Let's look at the difference between having thought opposed to living in thought. How do we have goals to achieve while maintaining presence. For example, if we have plans for next year, maybe a vacation we are looking forward to and just booked the ticket. It is entirely possible to not live in thought about it for the next 364 days while still accomplishing the achievement of having the experience of it. Whether it's a vacation, fitness goal, business goal, or any other point of focus, there is no need to spend a massive about of energy obsessing with thought. When we are living in thought we are missing many moments of the present and spending our body's precious energy needlessly. If we book a vaction for next year and spend the next 364 days thinking about that vacation what ends up happening is we miss all of thoes days and moments as we rush into the "future". This is also the case when we stay stuck fixated on the past.
Let’s envision we are flying like a superhero, at 100MPH, through an adventurous path through a forest with giant trees on either side. There are sights of all kinds, waterfalls, ponds, bridges, and mountains that can be seen in the distance. The scenery is absolutely incredible and the birds are vibrant with colors. The most amazing forest you have ever witnessed. Now in this vision imagine closing our eyes for one minute. How much did we just miss? Only about 8,796 ft (2.68 km) of scenery. That is similar to how we travel through life. When we are stuck in our thought(s) we are metaphorically closing our eyes to reality. Thought is usally an attempt to escape reality (the Present) and instead of the one minute example we can go through life with our eyes closed for hours, days, years. Being present for few and infrequent moments, struggling through life in ways we are unaware of. Flying through the path of life, running into trees, animals and at times the side of mountains. Most of our repeated struggles in life are because we are not paying attention to where we are. Where we are is always now.
Coming full circle, we can still have goals and dreams and a focus on what we want to accomplish in life without thinking about them 24/7. To navigate in the most effective way(s) to achieve them, we are better off closing our eyes for brief moments, so that we can enjoy the journey as much as possible while navigating around any obstacles. Think of your goals briefly and write them down. Use a calendar for things you have to do instead of straining your mind to hold them. Focus on where you want to go while staying present at where you are so that every move you make is a good one, towards the direction of travel you desire. Live with our eyes open because life is not about a destination, it’s about the path and the companionship we keep while on it.
